For the first 6 months of 2007, I worked on National Treasure: Book of Secrets, creating hundreds of documents, maps, 6 prop books, leather bound portfolios, illustrations, facsimiles of John Wilkes Booth’s diary, and many other things. This is the President’s Book of Secrets, also showing a few of the dozens of extra documents, photos, letters and papers that were stuffed in the pages.

This book went through a lot of design changes until I finally hit upon a simple leather wallet that holds the bound journal, and loose documents. The buttons are civil war era uniform buttons. The leather lace is from a hundred year old boot found in a barn.
