This piece has had a long life.

In the early 1990s, I was asked by the MTA to propose a design for a tile mural for the 42nd Street station. I'm still waiting to hear back...

So I decided to print it letterpress as a self promo broadside in the late 90s.

Then in 2012 I was asked to do an illustration for a New York Times Op Ed piece about re-instating the draft. Finally, this image's time had come!
